Our politicians in la belle province have great integrity:

Gérald Tremblay: resigned as Mayor on November 5, 2012 following allegations of corruption made at the Charbonneau Commission.

Michael Mark Applebaum: On June 17, 2013 he was arrested and indicted on 14 charges including fraud, conspiracy, breach of trust, and corruption in municipal affairs.

Gilles Vaillancourt: On May 9, 2013 Vaillancourt was arrested at his home by the police and charged with gangsterism.

Michel Lavoie: The mayor was arrested several times, charges of breach of trust, fraud and conspiracy, alleged collusion schemes.

Richard Marcotte: former mayor of the Montreal suburb of Mascouche for alleged fraud and corruption in a suspected kickback scheme.

Saulie Zajdel: sentenced to 240 hours of community service and will donate $10,000 to charity after pleading guilty to charges of breach of trust and corruption.

Louise Léger-Villandré: Hudson, was arrested by officers with Quebec’s anti-corruption police unit, UPAC, and now faces 19 criminal charges of fraud, breach of trust, and creating and using false documents.

Stéphane Harbour: Outremont, guilty to charges of conspiracy, fraud

Jean-Claude Gingras, the mayor of Montreal suburb L’Assomption, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving and refusing a breathalyzer test.

Sylvie Berniquez St. Jean, the former mayor of Boisbriand, will serve no jail time for her role in a bid-rigging scheme involving the awarding of infrastructure contracts.
