The overpass should never have been closed – it’s official now, all has been confirmed. The engineering report, which the Mayor refused to disclose, clearly states the overpass did NOT need to be closed, only repaired. Sadly because the repairs were not done at that time the unnecessary delays will now cost the taxpayers millions to fix. The merchants also lost 30 to 50% of their business because of this closure.
