Pierrefonds heritage home safe after developer drops condo plan

A Montreal builder has withdrawn a development plan that would have meant relocating an 18th century farmhouse in order to build two eight-storey condo towers on the waterfront in Pierrefonds.
In mid-November, between 50 and 70 residents turned up at a planning advisory committee meeting to register their opposition to the development. Increased traffic, declining property values and the loss of Maison Théorêt were among their concerns about the project.
