Ok it’s not CTV, it’s CBC. So Must See BC. We Make the Top Story on CBC News and it ain’t flattering. Instead of being the Jewel of the West Island we have become the Joke of the West Island. Civic frustration in Sainte Anne de Bellevue. Residents don’t like what they see and worry their city is wasting their money. Good evening I’m Nancy Wood, some residents in Sainte Anne de Bellevue are upset about the way the city is being run. Over the past three years they say frivolous projects are being done that are putting the city more and more in more debt. Leah Hendry explains: first there was a decision to replace this public washroom with what people called a golden toilet. A $200,000 toilet on Sainte Anne de Bellevue’s boardwalk. Renovations to the main street, intended to improve the look of the city, that dragged on for years and may have hurt businesses, and hundreds of thousands in renovations to improve the facade at the town hall.
The city is already millions of dollars in debt.
