Your Sainte Anne de Bellevue taxes put to good use. After years of disruptions causing tremendous hardships for merchants and inconveniences for locals, what should have been relatively simple road repairs have become an ongoing nightmare.

Spending on road repairs could soar over $4M: Deroo
The Chronicle (Montreal)

Through the nine first months of 2012, the works on Ste. Anne Street have cost Ste. Anne de Bellevue $2,654,418. Work will continue as long as the weather allows them, mayor Francis Deroo said last Monday. Depending on weather conditions, repairs already done and upcoming work could cost up to $1,5 million before the end of the year, which would bring the total spending over $4 million. Work on the commercial part of the street (phase three) began in September.
