Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue council creates SPP committee
By Kevin Woodhouse, August 15th, 2012
Mayor Francis Deroo and members of the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue council approved the creation of a committee to study the upcoming special planning program (SPP) allowing for the eventual development of the northern sector.
The 12-person committee will be made up of city workers, council members and four residents, two from the southern sector and two from the north, to meet regularly to discuss the planned expansion. The mandate will begin in September and the process is expected to take six months.
During that time, two citizen consultations will take place as well as another public one but the committee may have more public forums if need be. Meetings for the committee will be set for Thursday evenings and could be weekly or monthly, depending on interest.
Citizens wishing to take part in the committee process should consult the city’s website as application forms will be available on line shortly.
