TOD or Transit Oriented Developments is “A new way of designing cities – away from the car-dependent suburban model – is urgently needed as gasoline gets more and more expensive. TOD is a fancy way of saying: build housing near public transportation hubs.”
Unfortunately TOD doesn’t work with towns such as Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue given mass transit is just a pipe dream. No metro, terrible bus service, and very poor commuter train service. The same can be said for many West Island Municipalities.
